A brief respite from the stifling heat of recent days. Some light rain, overcast and in the 70s for the most part. However, the heat wave returns tomorrow and it will be more of the same for most of the week . . . The antique fire apparatus made their annual appearance today along the river in South Harrisburg in tandem with the yearly Shipoke flea market . . . Joanne and Eric had so much fun on the river that they went out and bought kayaks of their own this week. An expensive hobby; hope the novelty doesn't wear off too early. And I was surprised to learn that even kayaks have to be licensed as watercraft. Guess the state needs the money . . .
