Leo the Painter came down Green Street on his mobile lift this afternoon and pulled onto the sidewalk in front of the Hill residence opposite The Bare Wall. He attracted a lot of attention from passers-by but I guessed the reason before it became evident. Amy and Doug have been trying to get a large chest of drawers to the second floor all summer without success; Too big for the stairwell and earlier attempts to lift it up the front of the building with slings was unsuccessful. It took Doug and Leo (Amy supervising) only a few moments to whisk the piece of furniture up to the second floor balcony . . . The new pottery from Berks County arrived this afternoon and both Bob and I find it different and attractive. Plan to have pictures for you soon . . . It was a sunny but breezy day. The trees on Forster Street were almost denuded . . .
