Election Day, warm and sunny. I was number 44 around ten a.m. which wasn't particularly good as turn-outs go. The big question--will city council incumbents be re-elected. Unfortunately I have to post before we know that answer . . . Am already tired of the tempest at Penn State which seems to be titillating the news media in a tabloid fashion. Apparently Coach Paterno is apt to resign in the near future, but nothing is certain. Some of the info released thus far in this child molestation case seems suspect. Someone alleges improper activity in the shower room and passes it up the chain of command, but, it turns out, there is no known victim. What kind of evidence is this? . . . I will assure you of one thing: if, as in the Catholic Church scandal, money suddenly becomes available, there will be dozens coming forward with their own stories of being touched inappropriately . . .
