A nice long soaking rain, unfortunately followed by humidity and soaring temperatures. Looks like another hot and steamy period coming up . . . I try not to be political here, but thankfully it looks like a few members of city council are awakening to the lack of leadership in government. The council president needs to get on board with the rest of council . . . But the real leadership is coming from Dan Miller (PennLive commentators are already giving him their mayoralty vote). Today Dan presented one scenario for solving the city's money problems (the current mayor promised a plan that never materialized). I am no financial wizard so I don't know how good his plan is, but at least someone is talking about the dire situation.
