According to an e-mail sent to CAN members, the new non-emergency phone number for the police department is 558-6900. Use 911 for urgent matters . . . Well, we have now received both the Yellow Book and the Verizon Yellow Pages, fat and loaded with business ads and addresses. Unfortunately, neither contain home phones which most of us rely on the books to provide. Verizon is offering an on-line version but if you want a printed copy you have to request it, I am told . . . Bob and I have been reading up a storm this summer so we have a big selection of novels for just $2 each. Be sure to shuffle through the pile the next time you are here . . . Bob drove me up North Second Street to get this picture of the squashed car . . . the hand-blown glass from West Virginia is being shipped tomorrow . . . Monday, August 8, 2011
